To create a template with the drag and drop editor, click on the "Templates" tab (1) and then click on "Create a template" (2).
On the pop-up window that appears, click on any of the drag and drop layout examples. The drag and drop editor opens.
1. Set up the general styles first.
To set up the general styles, click on the brush-like button "Customize styles". The alternative is to use the default styles of the chosen template.
2. Next, build the newsletter structure.
Click on the PLUS button on the bottom-left and choose one column, two column or three column layout (design) rows from "Layout rows". You can drag content elements e.g text, image, buttons etc into every structural container.
3. Finally add the content (text and pictures) into content elements.
The editor will format texts, links, headings to styles what previously had been set under "Customize style" button.
There is no need to edit the pictures before uploading them into Smaily. The system will cut the pictures in the required height and width automatically. The template is also mobile-adaptive and works fine in all handheld devices (mobiles, tablets etc).
If your template is ready, click on the button "Save changes" in the top right corner. The template is not saved automatically, you always have to save it after you've made changes to the template. If you are working with the template for a longer time period, it's good to save it once in a while.
